摘要: Abstract Recent excavations at Taraschina, south-eastern Romania, have revealed an extensive Chalcolithic settlement in the heart of Danube Delta. Based on ceramic data, Taraschina was attributed to Gumelniţa Culture and dated mid 5th millennium BC by radiocarbon dating. Phytolith analysis conducted order reconstruct some activities carried out populations The study undertaken site sediments, as well additional deposits sampled around coring. results show that phytoliths characterizing cereal processing are attested archaeological deposits, surrounding sequence. Our highlights important signal Delta, 6000 years ago.
