Effects of relaxation on self-esteem of patients with cancer: a randomized clinical trial.

摘要: Cancer is usually associated with decreased self-esteem. Relaxation one of the most effective methods to promote self-esteem patients chronic diseases. Hence, present study aimed investigate effects relaxation on cancer. This randomized clinical trial was conducted 80 The samples were selected by convenience sampling method and randomly divided into experimental control groups. In group, implemented techniques once a day for 30 min during 60 consecutive days in addition receiving routine care, while group received only care. Before after intervention, Persian version Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory (CSEI) completed. After interventions, significant differences observed between groups favor total score CSEI all its subscales (P = 0.0001). increase intervention (P = 0.001), whereas decrease found dimensions (P = 0.001). seems be potentially promoting Further studies, particularly trials higher sample size more power, are needed confirm obtained findings.
