Palliative Care in the Emergency Room Scenario: Perceptions of Nurses and Physicians

摘要: Objective: To describe the perception of nurses and physicians in relation to palliative care provided people with bloodoncologic diseases met an emergency ward a general hospital. Material Methods: This is qualitative study, exploratory descriptive approach. Six six were interviewed from September November 2017. The data treated through operative analysis Minayo. Results Discussion: Three categories emerged: "end life only end life, without care"; "(re)thinking person cancer"; "the urgency emergency: challenges for terminality". Conclusion: relates terminality, room environment considered inappropriate this care, but recognize importance quality offered adequacy assistance care.
