摘要: Reduced sagittal plane range of motion (ROM) has been reported in individuals with hip osteoarthritis (OA) both during walking and passive testing. The purpose this study was to determine if a relationship exists between extension ROM recorded gait moderate severe OA, comparison an asymptomatic group. Sagittal calculated using skin surface marker trajectories captured treadmill at self-selected speed. Passive measured standardized position recording procedures goniometer. extension, flexion, overall were dynamically passively. A two-way mixed model analysis variance determined significant differences groups dynamic (α = 0.05). Pearson correlations relationships ROM. Significant group by interactions found for flexion (p < 0.05). For the OA had less compared other greater than existed all three (p < 0.05) whereas no (r = 0.596) (r = 0.586) groups, correlation (r = 0.139). explains measurements obtained which have implications design treatment strategies targeting pathomechanics. © 2016 Orthopaedic Research Society.
