摘要: Background Catheter-associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI) is the most frequently occurring health care-associated among hospitalized patients. Adequate knowledge of CAUTI in care workers supports effective prevention and control infection. This systematic review assesses instruments used to assess inform future research. The catheter lifecycle model was evaluate conceptual framework upon which measurement were based. Finally, psychometric quality these evaluated. Methods Five electronic databases searched for published studies instruments. COnsensus-based Standards selection status Measurement INstruments checklist reporting Results Fifteen met inclusion criteria 13 available review. Most did not address all components essential as defined by model. sufficiently Conclusions Few are measurement. closely aligned with a framework. If cannot be measured accurately using an instrument, this has potential impact negatively on clinical focus interventions. There need standardized instrument evaluation so that targeted interventions can deficits.
