摘要: Background: Tear film fluid serves as a dynamic barrier that both lubricates the eye and protects against allergens infectious agents. However, detailed analysis of bacteria-induced immune response on tear lipidome has not been undertaken. Methods: We undertook high-resolution mass spectrometry lipidomics endogenous anti-inflammatory structural lipids in bovine pink eye. Results: Bovine resulted dramatic elevations levels resolvin E2, cyclic phosphatidic acid 16:0, 18:0. In addition, there were elevated (O-acyl)-ω-hydroxy-fatty acids, cholesterol sulfate, ethanolamine plasmalogens, sphingomyelins. Lipid peroxidation also was augmented evidenced by hydroperoxy derivatives plasmalogens. Conclusions: Ocular infections with Moraxella bovis result induction number augmentation glycerophospholipids sphingolipids. Increased indicate this bacterial infection results lipid peroxidation.
