摘要: We present the results of an outbreak investigation on a Cryptosporidium parvum among 35 people, (27 students and 8 teachers), who participated in school excursion to outdoor adventure farm South West England, from 22 26 May 2006. A cohort study was implemented investigate possible sources infection during visit. The most likely transmission route contact with faecally contaminated surface water following heavy rainfall, or consumption private well. Disinfection reservoir by chlorination, which cryptosporidium is resistant. Supplemental disinfection filtration methods supplies livestock farms may be needed. This highlights fact that epidemiological investigations outbreaks as result environmental exposures are complex but important inform public health professionals risks posed activities. particularly so after this increased effluent land, causing wide variety pathogens wash into potentially, wells. poses for health.
