摘要: Zooplankton play a prominent role in the biogeochemical cycles of marine ecosystems. Little is known about trophodynamics zooplankton response to geographic patterns isotopic baselines and physical processes western tropical North Pacific. In this study, stable isotope ratios five size fractions (100 > 2000 mu m) from different current regions Pacific Ocean were analyzed. Both delta C-13 N-15 values increased with class. The largest group (> m), diverse composition, showed relatively higher signatures, covering wider range. Regional variations signatures similar across all classes, generally Equatorial Counter Current (NECC) (NEC) lower Subtropical (STCC). These regional consistent variation oceanographic features (temperature, salinity, nutrients, chlorophyll a) also related particulate organic matter (POM) regions. Moreover, nitrogen-fixing cyanobacteria Trichodesmium spp. may be main contributor low STCC. results study demonstrate influence on zooplankton. This baseline information crucial for future food web studies Ocean.
