摘要: Glucocorticoids regulate a variety of physiological processes, and are commonly used to treat disorders inflammation, autoimmune diseases, cancer. Glucocorticoid action is predominantly mediated through the classic glucocorticoid receptor (GR), but sensitivity glucocorticoids varies among individuals, even within different tissues from same individual. The molecular basis this phenomenon can be partially explained understanding process generating bioavailable ligand heterogeneity GR. mechanisms that highlight dynamic nature hormone signaling provide novel insights into genomic actions sensitivity. Although highly effective for therapeutic purposes, long-term and/or high-dose administration often leads reduced or resistance. Here, we summarize our current modulate resistance with focus on GR-mediated signaling.
