摘要: Coarse scale equations applicable to two phase flow in heterogeneous reservoirs are developed via a volume average of the fine saturation equation. The resulting coarse description, form an equation and sequence moment equations, is then used assess several methods for upscaling detailed reservoir characterizations. approaches considered use pseudo‐relative permeabilities, nonuniform coarsening grid geostatistical model, higher moments variables. Using averaged as framework, underlying assumptions, strengths limitations each these discussed. Previous findings demonstrating accuracy relative permeability functions based on readily explained terms equations. Finally, simplified unit mobility ratio case applied direct solution model problem.
