摘要: The use of robotic-assisted surgery (RS) has rapidly increased, but public perceptions about RS are largely unknown. aim this study was to gain insight into RS, hospitals that have robots, and surgeons them. A Web-based survey distributed worldwide. Surveys were collected from July September 2014, those with 50 % or greater completion used for analysis. There 789 surveys, 747 (95 %) mean age respondents 38.5 years. Most (94 %) the USA. Over half (53 %) had a background in health care, 13 % physicians. majority (86 %) previously heard almost 25 % indicated like open, laser, scarless surgery. 20 % robot some degree autonomy during (72 %) safer, faster, less painful offered better results, when asked if they would choose 55 % prefer conventional minimally invasive Hospitals thought be by 53 % respondents. Fewer physicians perceived advantages (30 % vs 78 % non-physicians p < 0.001), fewer needed (30 49 % p = 0.001).
