摘要: The frequencies of several factors, including major physical disease, in employed and unemployed men enrolled the British Regional Heart Study (BRHS) have been compared. BRHS is a prospective study cardiovascular disease middle-aged selected at random from general practices twenty-four towns. group was subdivided into those who said they were because ill-health regarded their unemployment as not due to illness. ill reported much higher rate doctor-diagnosed illnesses than not-ill or employed. bronchitis, obstructive lung ischaemic heart employed, with highest rates unemployed. frequency hypertension same men.
