摘要: The electrorheological response of hydrated poly(methacrylate) particles in a chlorinated hydrocarbon has been characterized as function field strength, shear rate, volume fraction and temperature. Viscosities electrified suspensions are increased up to three orders magnitude over the unelectrified suspension at low rates but decrease value high rates. observed analysed by considering fundamental forces acting on it is found that, given fraction, all dependencies relative viscosity strength temperature can be collapsed into single Mason number [ηc/2Iµ0Iµc(βE)2]. results have further terms Bingham Plastic constitutive equation from which critical naturally arises characterizing transition polarization hydrodynamic control structure.
