摘要: A general experimental design that allows mapping of a quantitative trait locus (QTL) into 1-cM interval is presented. The consists series strains, termed “interval-specific congenic strains (ISCS)”. Each ISCS recombinant at specific sub-interval out an ordered set sub-intervals, which together comprise wider interval, to QTL was previously mapped. It shown and detected moderate or even small effect can be accurately mapped in program involving total no more than 1000 individuals. Consequently, serve as the ultimate genetic procedure before application physical tools for positional cloning QTL.
