摘要: The chiral structures of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) can greatly affect their electronic, optical, thermal, mechanical and magnetic properties. As such, it has been a long-standing goal to selectively synthesize single chirality SWCNTs for potential applications ranging from electronics medicine. Catalytic chemical vapor deposition is the prevalent method selective synthesis SWCNTs. In this method, catalyst plays critical role in selection. This review summarizes up-to-date development SWCNTs, discusses general principles current state-of-the-art designs. Metal catalysts, which account majority catalysts used so far, are first reviewed. They divided into supported on porous flat substrates unsupported catalysts. discussion focused preparation methods, determine performance Next, non-metal examined. New approaches using seeds SWCNT “cloning” also summarized. Lastly, nanocarbon segments obtained organic growth discussed.
