摘要: CONTEXT: A better understanding of effective contraceptive use among Latinos is needed to reduce their high rate unintended pregnancy. Most research has focused on urban Latinas and overlooked the relationship context use. METHODS: Interviews were conducted a sample 450 Latino women men aged 18-25 in sexual relationships who recruited from community sites four rural Oregon counties 2006. Bivariate multinomial logistic regression analyses used examine associations between -individual cultural characteristics. RESULTS: Half participants reported primary relationships: Thirty-six percent consistently female method 15% condoms. Acculturation confidence ones -ability practice contraception with partner associated rather than no (risk ratios 0.7 1.7 respectively). Participation decision making was positively condom (2.2) or (1.9); involvement birth control (1.8). CONCLUSIONS: Variations nonurban appear related characteristics dynamics.
