Is mesogranulation a distinct regime of convection

摘要: We investigate the dynamic of mesogranulation phenomenon by analyzing spatially two-dimensional spectral time series taken at disk center and cosθ=0.8. After a three-dimensional Fourier transformation, we integrate power crosspower spectra in azimuth, calculate k-ω power, phase difference, spectra. The spatial are compared with those obtained from numerical simulations stationary cell patterns.
