An experimental study of local magnetic field intensity effects on the discharge characterization of Hall thrusters

摘要: This paper investigates the magnetic field intensity effects on discharge characterization of Hall thrusters for optimization fields. Vary strength fields with its topography holds constant (keep in ldquofocusingrdquo type), and make an experimental study thrusterpsilas operating performance working different regions magneto-ampere curve through Langmuir probe, spectrograph, etc. Detailed examination results shows that when magnitude less than critical value, near-wall conductivity give priority to activity electrons traverse field, if not, current varying abnormally, existing conductive theories are failed explain this phenomenon.
