Bilateral modified V-Y advancement flaps for closing meningomyelocele defects.

摘要: Various reports describe surgical techniques for closing a meningomyelocele defect. We have used combination flap consisting of vertical bipedicled and V-Y advancement this technique in the successful repair 11 defects. The enhances blood supply to with no sacrifice muscle tissue. This can easily be moved midline, donor area primarily sutured complications. Our method has several advantages compared previously reported methods: 1) skin grafts are needed; 2) tissue is killed; 3) it simple easy, leading less loss minimal operative time; 4) safe produces reliable results while eliminating wound dehiscence necrosis.
