A vibrational analysis of Au implanted Al[sub 2]O[sub 3] single crystals: Ion and thermal annealing effects

摘要: The implantation of Au into Al[sub 2]O[sub 3] leads to disruption the crystal order producing an amorphous layer. Annealing implanted crystals at 1373 K restores crystallinity and also imparts a purple color layer which is attributed surface plasmon resulting from formation colloids.
