摘要: This paper provides evidence of the recovery a small, moorland catchment to severe drought, most extreme on record in UK. We present detailed water quality time series for post-drought period, from first significant storm event at end drought through three very wet months during which fully wetted up. High-frequency observations were obtained using pump samplers, 15-min intervals events and 2 hourly other times. There are shifts discharge-concentration response as wets up; initial behaviour is different later storms. Extreme may become more common warmer world, so it increasingly important understand after such episodes, if their impact resources in-stream ecology be better anticipated.
