摘要: The expected flux of K alpha line emission from sulfur, argon, calcium, and iron is calculated during both thermal nonthermal solar X-ray events. Such shown to be weak the course most hard bursts that Kane Anderson (1970) have observed. If Compton backscattering significant at high energies, reduced still further for disk flares, but it noted strong, near-limb burst June 26 would produced about 100 photons /sq cm/sec sulfur emission. impulsive may in general too short-lived much It particular depends sensitively on lower-energy limit electron spectrum, assuming such a sharply defined boundary exists. During soft bursts, when temperatures few 10 7th power are obtained, certain ions, specifically Fe XVIII-XXIII, important.
