Stresses in the Upper Crust as Derived from in-situ Stress Measurements — A Review

摘要: Stress measurements at greater depth are becoming increasingly important in geosciences. Therefore, this review tends to present information on stress measuring techniques applied present, and summarize some data available for various parts of the earth’s crust a rather general form. The concludes that it is not possible give any formula predict stresses depth. However, distinct geological provinces suggest models which could be applicable other areas with similar tectonical features.
