摘要: The epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is a glycoprotein that carries on its extracellular domains oligosaccharide chains, some of which are similar to blood group determinants. author examined the expression EGFR using immunohistochemistry and three anti-EGFR antibodies with different fine specificities. These were applied frozen sections from 120 tissue biopsies, including normal neoplastic urothelium. A, B, H determinants was also evaluated in same tissues. Significant differences noted, depending specificity antibody, cellular differentiation, donor's group. most interesting finding reciprocal relationship between reaction patterns obtained carbohydrate those peptide specificity. characteristic differentiation suggested detected excess immature malignant cells that, however, appear deficient combination 'loss' antigen an apparent overexpression indicative invasive transitional cell carcinomas.
