摘要: Summary Herpes simplex type 1 Angelotti (HSV-1 ANG) virions were shown to contain two major acid-soluble proteins, BP1 and 2, which by size charge analysis also found be associated with chromatin isolated from HSV-1 ANG-infected African green monkey kidney cells (HSV-chromatin). 2 proved exist in a phosphorylated state both HSV-chromatin. consisted of single polypeptide 38 K mol. wt. was correlated the tegument protein VP22. In SDS-polyacrylamide gels BP2 migrated as band an apparent 12 K. Urea gel revealed that three components, BP2a, b c, different phosphate contents. Arguments provided these components probably represent polypeptides similar HSV-chromatin, addition BP1, c contained further virus-induced basic phosphopolypeptide 65 not detected acid-extracts mature virions.
