摘要: Here we report the molecular biomarker co-occurrence of three different races Botryococcus braunii (B. braunii) in freshwater wetland ecosystem Florida Everglades, USA. Thespecific biomarkers include C32–C34 botryococcenes for race B, C27–C32 n-alkadienes and n-alkatrienes A, lycopadiene L. The were present up to 3.1 69.5 µg/g dry weight (dw), while was detected lower amounts 3.0 1.5 µg/g dw periphyton floc samples, respectively. Nutrient concentrations (P N) did not significantly correlate with abundances these compounds. In contrast, wider diversity higher abundance from slough (deeper water longer hydroperiod) than ridge (shallower shorter locations. n-Alkadienes, n-alkatrienes, lycopadiene, showed δ13C values −40.0 −35.5‰, suggesting that source organisms B. at least partially utilize recycled CO2 (13C depleted) produced OM respiration rather atmospheric enriched) as major carbon sources.
