摘要: Abstract Sweet sorghum was subjected to an impregnation step, which recovered most of the 1st generation sugars, prior a steam-treatment extraction 2nd at three different severity factors (SF). A medium (3.56 SF) treatment proved be optimal compromise between amount sugars extracted and fermentation inhibitors generated following subsequent depolymerization approaches applied on broth. Next, series detoxification (ozonation, overliming combination both) were investigated concentration step. Results show that higher required more intense steps. However, when combining streams 2:1 ratio, did not affect process ethanol yields above 90% theoretical maximum achieved.
