摘要: Biomolecules essentially fulfill their function through continual recognition of and binding to other molecules. Biomolecular is therefore a phe- nomenon prominent importance. When the progress monoclonal antibody technology genetic engineering allowed biologists characterize iso- late an impressive variety receptor molecules, it was first felt that affinity constants kinetic rates provided satisfactory account receptor-ligand interactions. However, number advances occurred during last two decades showed i) conventional framework not sufficient predict behaviour biomolecules in many physiologically relevant situations, ii) techniques investigators dissect biomolecule interactions at single bond level obtain new information on mechanical properties these interactions, iii) theoretical devel- opment computer simulation as well enormous increase available structural data avenues relate functional proper- ties. The aim this introductory chapter present brief outline pending issues.
