摘要: Suggestions are offered for a theory of emergence based on clarification and new interpretation the singular nature emergent levels. These suggestions cover formalisms, formulations, measurements. In contrast to mere collectivities, as well rendering macro- micro-levels in entropy order parameters, distinctions temporal dynamics, levels described “privileged” “confounded.” A discussion insufficiency previous formalisms dealing with structural novelty sets stage introduction formal construct, that self-transcending constructions. This construct is linked idea logical depth complexity measure. The advantages semantic rather than information–theoretic perspective discussed. addition, tendency confuse models phenomena themselves described. Finally, conclusions about natural kind offered.
