摘要: Graphene oxide (GO) was covalently functionalized with poly(4-vinyl pyridine) (P4VP) by atom transfer radical polymerization for drug delivery and antimicrobial applications. The physiochemical properties, chemical structure, composition morphology of the P4VP-functionalized GO (GO-P4VP) were studied. Simple physisorption a cancer drug, camptothecin (CPT), via π − stacking and/or hydrophobic interactions on GO-P4VP tested loading its release altering pH. has low cytotoxicity, CPT-loaded exhibited high potency killing cells in vitro. Prominent properties against Escherichia coli Staphylococcus aureus also observed. Thus, can be utilized as vector biocompatibility, solubility stability physiological solutions, suitable payload capacity excellent bacterial toxicity. Owing to small size, cost, large specific area, ready scalability useful non-covalent interactions, is novel material biomedical, industrial environmental © 2015 Society Chemical Industry
