摘要: US Latinas have a lower incidence of breast cancer compared to non-Latina White women. This difference is partially explained by differences in the prevalence known risk factors. Genetic factors may also contribute this incidence. are an admixed population with most their genetic ancestry from Europeans and Indigenous Americans. We used markers estimate Latina cases controls assessed association ancestry, adjusting for reproductive other typed set 106 informative (AIMs) 440 women 597 San Francisco (SF) Bay area estimated using maximum likelihood method. Odds ratios (OR) 95% confidence intervals (CI) modeled as continuous variable were logistic regression included covariates. Higher European was associated increased risk. The odds ratio 25% increase 1.79 (95% CI: 1.28–2.79, p<0.001). When place birth adjusted for, attenuated but remained statistically significant (OR=1.39; 1.06–2.11, p=0.013).
