摘要: This application discloses a virtual ground pre-amplifier for with magnetic phono cartridges such as moving coil, magnet, iron, or similar types. The preamplifier according to the present invention comprises forward path (an amplifier), and reverse (shunt feedback). By presenting relatively low load impedance cartridge, effectively damps mechanical resonances of stylus-cartridge system, thus serves "stylus stabilizer." Also disclosed are techniques equalizing overall response stylus-cartridge-preamp system so provide predetermined (e.g., flat) frequency response. can be achieved by utilizing any several circuit arrangements which serve compensate intrinsic inductance dc resistance cartridge. A detailed description is given high-performance complementary-symmetry "operational-type" amplifier well-suited use in preamplifier.
