摘要: Abstract The Silicon PhotoMultiplier (SiPM) APD represents an interesting advance in photodetection and could soon be a rival to traditional PMTs many applications. SiPM is effectively densely packed 2D array of Geiger-mode microcells, each having individual resistive quenching multiplexed outputs. In this way the acts as linear, high-gain photodetector for moderate photon flux ( N cells ) . Metal-Resistor-Silicon (MRS) structure SiPM, produced by CPTA Russia, has been characterised tested scintillator light detection medical applications such PET. We present summary measurements device's primary operating characteristics results application readout.
