摘要: Purpose The purpose of this paper is to reveal how management uncertainty can enable sustainability complex projects. Design/methodology/approach The research was conducted from June 2014 May 2015 using a qualitative deductive approach among operation and maintenance actors in offshore wind farms. The contains focus group interview with 11 companies, 20 individual interviews seminar presenting preliminary findings 60 participants. Findings The the need for through two different paths. First, project needs frontload important issues, which results use resources much earlier than noted usual stage gate approach. Additionally, base organisation capacity both explore exploit issues. In summarisation findings, tool developed paths join efforts. Research limitations/implications Further needed generalisability other contexts containing “unknown unknowns”. Practical implications The leads development projects, termed “UMSCoPS”. model provides guide insight understanding management.
