摘要: Abstract Influence of substrate type (synthetic (SWW) or real wastewater (RWW)) on lab scale MBR performances ( e . g COD and N- NH 4 + removal rates bioactivities) was assessed. Membrane fouling related to biological medium characteristics. With RWW, autotrophic biomass better acclimated with complete ammonium removal. characterized by main soluble microbial products (SMP) (proteins, polysaccharides humic-like substances) quantification molecular weights (MW) distribution determination. The SWW acclimation contained 60 mg L −1 more SMP, mainly composed proteins polysaccharides. A protein fraction having high MW (>600 kDa) could be responsible for higher removable in that case. SMP RWW experiment were small proteic fractions, poorly retained the membrane resulting a weak augmentation irremovable irreversible fractions compared acclimation. Therefore utilization is preferable approach operating MBR.
