摘要: In the context of air quality improvement, there is an increasing need to monitor gas and particle emissions originating from exhaust stacks (incinerators, foundries, etc.) for regulation enforcement purposes. Lots pollutants are targeted; among them, heavy metals mostly found in particulate forms. Hence, a promote development suitable on line analytical techniques. To that end, laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) appears be good technique. Indeed, it quantitative, fast (<1 min), requires no sample preparation, can performed at remote distance. The instrumentation compact offers possibility used continuous in-situ monitoring. Two different approaches have been tested by several authors analyze aerosols LIBS, focusing laser either particles collected filter or directly into aerosol. this work, these two approaches, aiming measuring mass concentration micrometer metallic air, investigated compared. experimental setup includes aerosol source (an ultrasonic nebulizer producing diluted CuSO4 particles) ; sampling lines sizes and, reference measurements, direct LIBS analysis fourth one devoted subsequent measurements. Calibration curves were obtained with those results terms number, indirect more efficient than our conditions. Better detection limits when comparing under similar conditions (analysis time flow).
