摘要: Delineation of the complement proteins comprising zygote and ookinete, early developmental stages Plasmodium within mosquito midgut, is fundamental to understand initial molecular parasite-vector interactions. The published proteome falciparum does not include analysis zygote/ookinete stages, nor that P. berghei stage or secreted proteins. gallinaceum zygote, ookinete-secreted/released protein samples were prepared subjected Multidimensional identification technology (MudPIT). Peptides ookinete-secreted identified by MS/MS, mapped ORFs (>50 amino acids) in extent whole genome sequence, then matched homologous falciparum. A total 966 encoding orthologous identified; just over 40% these predicted found be hypothetical. majority putative with secretory signal peptides transmembrane domains hypothetical This provides a more comprehensive view hitherto unknown midgut results underpin robust study Plasmodium-mosquito interactions, development novel strategies blocking malaria transmission.
