摘要: Abstract Background Ketamine has rapid-acting antidepressant and antisuicidal properties, while a proportion of patients do not adequately achieve complete response to ketamine. Our aim was explore the applicability using clinical factors serum tryptophan (TRP) metabolites predict six doses ketamine for depression with suicidal ideation. Methods Seventy-three depressed ideation received thrice-weekly infusion regimen subanaesthetic Clinical symptoms were assessed by Montgomery-Asberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS), Beck's Suicide Ideation (SSI) Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), levels TRP, kynurenine (KYN) kynurenic acid (KYNA) detected liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry at baseline day 1 (1 after first infusion). The potential predictors evaluated receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analyses. Results area under (AUC = 0.959) implied good accuracy combination early KYN KYNA as predictor acute response. showed moderate discrimination an AUC 0.825 short-term 0.813. Limitations continued receiving previous medications during treatment, which may have impacted TRP metabolites. Conclusion the early stage of repeated treatment could be considered eligible acute- treating
