摘要: Abstract The increasing demand for hard disc drives (HDDs) in the data storage applications will result a tremendous generation of HDD waste near future. present study is focused primarily to identify presence different elements and evaluate as potential source copper rare earth values. Systematic characterization carried out this demonstrated various metals (Fe, Co, Ni, Al, Ti, Cu, Zn, Sn, Ta, Ag, Au) (RE) (Nd, Dy) major fraction associated with printed circuit board (PCB) (36% metallic fraction) NdFeB magnet (28% earth). Physical separation customized water fluidization classifier recovery values from PCB. Microwave exposure-leaching precipitation route are investigated extraction RE Based on complete material balance, it found that approximately 1.4 g mixed oxide (Nd purity more than 98% 6 g metal 92% content representing 4.3 g Cu recovered single unit.
