摘要: Abstract The unicellular algae harbouring within the cloacal cavities of Trididemnum cyclops (Michaelsen) possess both chlorophyll a and b (Chlorophyll a:b ratio 10). They have photosynthetic capacity about 7 μl O2 (μg chl-a)−1 h−1 light-saturated photosynthesis at quantum flux density 100–200 quanta cm−2 sec−1. algal internal structure, resembling that blue-green algae, consists two definite zones bounded by thin (30–50 nm), multilayered cell wall. outer zone is occupied lamellae cytoplasm. central electron-transparent sometimes contains unknown nature. However, unlike single non-appressed thylakoids Cyanophyta, are composed two-appressed thylakoids. undergoes binary division before cytokinesis. Cell equatorial constriction.
