摘要: Adaptation to stroke requires complex, long-term change in survivors' lives. This study aimed at identifying those factors that influence quality of life (QOL) geriatric survivors 1–3 years post-discharge. The objectives were: describe the overall survivors; examine relationships between sociodemographic variables, neurological functional status, social support, perceived health depression, and QOL; determine best predictors QOL. Data were collected on 50 using a cross-sectional design standardized questionnaires, including Quality Life Index, Functional Independence Measure, Social Support Inventory for Stroke Survivors Centre Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale. participants was low. most important QOL marital status. strongest predictor By employing multi-dimensional perspective, this confirmed adaptation involves much more than physical function. Thus, rehabilitation programs group would be effective if they are based upon holistic approach.
