摘要: Autophagy is a lysosomal degradation pathway that important in cellular homeostasis. Prior work showed key role for the autophagy related 5 (Atg5) resistance to Toxoplasma gondii. Here we show cassette of proteins involved conjugation microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 (LC3) phosphatidylethanolamine, including Atg7, Atg3, and Atg12-Atg5-Atg16L1 complex play crucial roles control T. gondii in vitro in vivo. In contrast, pharmacologic modulation the degradative or genetic deletion other essential genes had no substantial effects. Rather system was required targeting LC3 interferon-γ effectors onto the vacuolar membrane its consequent disruption. These data suggest ubiquitin-like systems reorganize intracellular membranes during canonical are necessary proper immune vacuole utilized by pathogens.
