摘要: Abstract Textiles, particularly those composed of natural organic fibres such as cotton, linen, wool, etc., are readily attacked by microorganisms. Most synthetic fabrics not subject to extensive biodeterioration, but some processing and finishing agents susceptible microbial spoilage. Microorganisms can affect all stages textile storage, with fungi being the most important microorganisms in biodeterioration processes. Microbial growth on a causes loss strength elongation, discolouration changes appearance. They follow oxidation state, degree polymerization breakdown molecular structure. There two main ways protection—control environmental physical conditions treatments biocides.
