摘要: The magnitude of Leptospira exposure in rural Mexico is largely unknown. We sought to determine the seroprevalence IgG antibodies adults Durango, Mexico, and sociodemographic, behavioral, housing characteristics subjects associated with seropositivity. performed a cross-sectional study 282 living Mexico. Sera from participants were analyzed for using commercially available enzyme immunoassay. Seroprevalence association was by bivariate multivariate analyses. Of (42.91 ± 17.53 years old) studied, 44 (15.6%) had anti-Leptospira antibodies. Seropositivity not gender, educational level, employment, socioeconomic status, contact animals or soil, type floors at home. In contrast, analysis showed that national trips (OR = 2.09; 95% CI: 1.05-4.16; P 0.03) poor education head family 2.96; 1.51-5.78; 0.001). demonstrated serological evidence northern contributing factors found present may be useful optimal planning preventive measures against infection.
