摘要: The associations of body mass and fat distribution, as measured by waist-to-hip circumference ratio, with serum concentrations sex hormones hormone binding globulin were examined in 88 postmenopausal women. Body index (BMI) was significantly negatively associated (SHBG) (r = -0.41), luteinizing (LH) -0.40) follicle stimulating (FSH) -0.38) also positively both total free oestradiol 0.40 0.45, respectively). Waist-to-hip ratio correlated SHBG -0.53), LH -0.35), FSH -0.35). After adjustment for BMI other related factors, SHBG, LH, FSH, demonstrated a significant curvilinear relationship testosterone. These results suggest that women, abdominal adiposity is relatively more androgenic profile.
