摘要: Abstract Background: Transmyocardial laser revascularization was used as the sole therapy for patients with ischemic heart disease not amenable to percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty or artery bypass grafting. This technique uses a carbon dioxide create transmyocardial channels direct perfusion of heart. Methods: Since 1992, 200 patients, at eight hospitals in United States, have undergone revascularization. The combined 1560 months follow-up an average 10 ± 3 per patient. Their age 63 years and their ejection fraction 47% 12%. Eighty-two percent had least one previous graft operation 38% prior angioplasty. Preoperatively, underwent nuclear single photon emission computed tomography scans identify extent severity ischemia. These were repeated 3, 6, 12 months. Angina class, admissions angina, medications recorded. Results: perioperative mortality 9%. class decreased significantly from before treatment ( p Conclusion: results indicate that provides angina relief, decreases hospital admissions, improves severe disease.
