Analysing sources of stress among business students: Evidence from Universiti Utara Malaysia

摘要: Stress could cause mental disorder to university students. It is a serious illness. A high education level with heavy burden plus unhealthy hospitality fell on students tends create higher student stress level. This study was carried out determine the relationship between stressors (interpersonal, intrapersonal, academic, environment and language) stress. Besides, of business their major sources were identified too. quantitative research conducted in Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) sample size 377 respondents. Their levels measured by using 10-items Perceived Scale (PSS) while 40-items Student Survey (SSS) 4-items Acculturative Hassles for Students (AHSS). Data obtained analyzed Statistical Packages Social Science (SPSS) version 20. Results indicated had association interpersonal sources, academic environmental sources. Analysis found 4.0% low stress, 71.3% moderate 24.7% The consisted intrapersonal source‟s decline personal health (mean = 3.97), increased class workload 3.75), lower grade than anticipated 3.71), anticipation graduation 3.71) language I am not use English way thinking 3.58). In short, UUM significantly associated mean value 33.0 at considerably high; hence management needs develop appropriate strategy address this issue.
