摘要: ABS>A study was made of P/sup 32/ recoil reactions in crystalline systems as a function radiation and thermal environment, i.e., temperature bombardment, flux, neutron to gamma -ray ratio, annealing conditions, environment. Anhydrous Na/sub 2/HPO/sub 4/ bombarded at dry ice 2 x 1O/sup 12/ neutrons/cm/sup 2//sec, cadmium ratio yields 40. The salt dissolved ice-cold 0.1M lactic acid, 5 10 lambda analyzed by electrophoresis on Whatman 3MM moistened with voltage gradient 80 volts/cm for l hr. per cent activity the identity peaks were determined from given histogram. When these irradiation conditions varied increasing ambient present results began approach those Sellers et al. These changes confirmed belief that during and/or after bombardment may have iufluenced their results. It is believed conclusion concerning extensive disruption P--O or P--O-P linkages unjustified, maximum probability nonbond-rupture phosphates no greater than 9.3%, observed orthophosphate, well be lower.
