摘要: Modern radiotherapy delivery nowadays relies on tridimensional, conformal techniques. The aim is to better target the tumor while decreasing dose administered surrounding normal tissues. Gold standard imaging modality remains computed-tomography (CT) scanner. However, intrinsic lack of contrast between soft tissues leads high variabilities in definition. risks are : a geographical miss with underirradiation one hand, and overestimation undue irradiation other hand. Alternative modalities like magnetic resonance functional positron emission tomography could theoretically overcome CT. fusion different images requires use sophisticated computer algorithms. We will briefly review them. then clinical results reported multi-modalities for tumors head, neck, lung, esophagus, cervix lymphomas. Finally, we give practical recommendations multi-modality treatment planning process.
