摘要: Streptococcus suis strains associated with different animal hosts or located in body regions constitute special ecovars of S. suis. A group CO2-dependent which showed several unusual traits was found the genital tract swine, and mannitol- sorbitol-fermenting were isolated from sheep, cattle horses. to be biochemically more heterogenous than originally described. detailed description is given additional characteristics species as well characters should modified description. simple scheme uses amylase Voges-Proskauer (acetoin) reactions for identification proposed. All tested produced a characteristic reaction on Mueller-Hinton plates Columbia Agar Base enriched starch.
